Established since 1969 as family firm under the name DR. S. Prawiro & Sons. Inc. International Patent and Trademark Attorneys, the firm was managed together with his daughter, Yelena S.Prawiro. The firm continue to operate and after Yelena S. Prawiro married with Yasidi Hambali SH. LLM. In 1985 the firm change its name to Yasidi Hambali & Associates. In 1996 their daughter, Indira Aisa SE. PgD Com and Nadia Gamila ST. MBA join the firm.

IPR System In Indonesia

Indonesia is a member of the World Trade Organization, through it’s instrument of ratification : Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 7 year 1994. As a member of the WTO (World Trade Organization), Indonesia consequently was to be in full compliance with the TRIPs Agreement (Agreement on Trade Related Aspect of Intellectual Property Rights of 1994)

Hence, Indonesia has acceded mainly intellectual property conventions, which according to the TRIPs Agreement, all members shall accord to those conventions.

Besides, Indonesia has revitalized and modernized its national laws regarding intellectual property, in its various branches, so as to congruent with principles, standards and recommendations enshrined in the TRIPs Agreement.
